In this article, I have discussed eight tips to help you increase your website's conversion rate.

Why conversion rate optimization is so important?


Anybody can build a website. But not everybody has a website that produces the highest amount of sales, regeneration of customers as possible. Your website is your best salesperson. It works 24/7. It never calls in sick, always works through all the holidays. A website is a perfect way of selling every single time for you.

So, you have to make sure that your website is converting all of its traffic at the highest rate. Below I have given eight tips that can help you do that. That is the keyway.


Tip number one


Is your website passing the two and a half second rule? Studies show that when someone clicks on a website, they give you about two and a half seconds. If they wait on the page to search but do not get a response, they leave the website.

So, the key here is that in two and a half seconds, you need to make it very clear to the person who is visiting the website, how to contact you, what you are doing and how to proceed to the next step. This is the test.

So, give it a try, take a look at your website, show your website to you, your friends, your family members, and then see how they can come up with the answer. If they can then you are successful in this direction.

Tip number two


Would you choose your own website? Try it, go to Google, search for your competitors, click real fast on their website, five, six, seven, maybe click through ten or more websites of your competitor, and see them. And then look at yourself and be honest with yourself, do you see yourself among the best?

Would you pick you? Because your customers are doing that same process when they are researching who they need to do business with and they're going to dwindle it down to the top two or three and that's going to come down to design.

So, if you are not in that mix, you are missing out on conversions and that is an area that you can tighten up.

Tip number three


Hardly more. Keep your design smooth and simple. Never show content title waves to anyone as they go to your page. If you do, it will force them to move away from your website.

What you are going to do is summarize into your wow lines, just one quick sentence, your wow line, which is what makes you different, basically what you do and why somebody should go with you.

Make it stiff, not too loud. The more words you use, the more people will leave your site and end your conversion rate.

Tip number four


Have smooth, make the navigation easier. Present a clear thought out conversion funnel. When somebody comes onto your website and lands on your page, they need to be able to understand how to get where they wanna go.

If that is difficult, you are going to lose them. So, they need to know where to visit or click, and after that think out that the process of the conversion funnel.

They are going to come in on my home page, then they are going to visit this page, then they are going to go to that page.

Think that experience out. Because of that, you are strong all the way through. This is a clear path to conversion. If you have a clear path to conversion, you will get a higher conversion rate.

Tip number five


Think of a website that has a high conversion rate. That website also has high confidence. If people don't believe you, they can't convert. So make sure you have a badge of faith. You’ve highlighted some of your rewards, perhaps some of the achievements you’ve had, perhaps how many years you’ve been in business, what your experiences are, and so on.

And also, show some of your reviews. By showing them the reviews on your site, it is preventing them from feeling like they need to go off of your site to find reviews elsewhere.

So, by showing those things throughout your site, it is giving them confidence. Also, ensuring their need, the trust that they need to convert.

Tip number six


Test, and check your site on mobile, is right or not? So many business owners get caught up at work looking at their site on the desktop and it looks amazing, but they fail to check it on the mobile phone.

Visit and test it on multiple mobile phone devices. You will know that if the website loading well and looks quite good and beautiful or not.

That means you have to make sure that when somebody loads your home page, they don't need to scroll down to see that information it should be there right away.

Cause if it is not, you are failing on the two and a half second rule, and you are losing out on conversions.

Tip number seven


Multichannel retargeting. 97% of your traffic is not typically going to convert the first time it comes to your site. This doesn't mean that it is bad traffic. This meaning that they are in research mode. They are not ready to convert right now.

So, by retargeting those people across multiple channels, Google, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, they're seeing you and you are staying top of mind.

This is ranked in their mind. If they are ready to convert, they will come back, will visit your website and they do convert. That will increase your overall conversion rate as time goes by.

Tip number eight


For gaining a high conversion rate strong ad copy, both paid and organic is the key. If you have people coming to your site that really should not be coming to your site, that is going to make your conversion rate look bad, right?

So, you want traffic coming to your site that is very targeted, that wants what you provide. And so, by having clear ad copy as to what the user's going to get, whether it is through a paid ad or an organic listing on search engines like Google or even like a post on Facebook, you want to make sure that that is very targeted so that when they click that and go to your site, it is the same information that they just were seeing, that there's a connection there, and you are not going to lose them.

If you are putting up information, social media posts, things that are not relevant to your business, and that traffic's coming to your site, it is not going to convert. This is going to decrease the conversion rate.
